OUR MISSION "To Provide, Facilitate and Coordinate Services to the Homeless"
|
OUR SERVICES
The Community Coalition on Homelessness is a private, non-profit organization working to address the issue of homelessness by providing a variety of services to Coalition members and direct services for the homeless in two locations in Manatee County. We provide leadership in our community to tackle the difficult and complicated issue of individuals and families facing life without access to shelter.
PATH Meetings (People Assisting The Homeless) - A monthly forum for Coalition members is held the third Thursday of every month at 9:00 am at the United Way of Manatee County. Participants gather to network, problem solve and maintain awareness of services provided to the homeless in the community and the county.
Transitional Development Program - A program offering people in crisis financial assistance and information and referral for housing.
Open Door Day Resource Center - A daytime center for the homeless, meeting their basic needs and providing hope and opportunity for those seeking a better life.
OUR PROJECT
We are committed to development of a Community "One Stop" Resource Center for the low income and homeless populations in Manatee County. This Center will provide food, clothing, employment information and assistance, day resource services, health services and services for families all in one location! Our Capital Campaign, "Opening Doors" has a goal to raise more that $3 million dollars in support of this critical project.
